Job Summary:
We are seeking a personable and proactive Business Development Outreach Specialist to develop new connections and re-establish existing connections with architects, property managers, designers, and real estate professionals. This role is key to managing relationships, sharing updates on our latest initiatives, and developing a strong network of warm referral sources for business growth. The ideal candidate excels at conversation, relationship-building, and strategic follow-ups. We are MBE certified, and we expect the Business Development Outreach Specialist to explore opportunities with major corporations, city and state agencies that are seeking to award contracts to qualified contractors.

 

This is a 100% remote position. The role will initially require close to 40 hours per week to ramp up outreach efforts and build a solid foundation. Over time, the position may transition to part-time hours based on ongoing business development needs.

 

This role starts as commission-based, with the opportunity to transition to a salary-plus-commission structure upon meeting agreed-upon performance milestones.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct outreach calls and emails to re-engage past industry contacts.
  • Identity corporations and agencies that are seeking qualified contractors, and work with these entities to get approved on their list of qualified vendors.
  • Lead meaningful conversations to update contacts on our work and learn about their current projects.
  • Strengthen relationships and position our company as a valuable partner.
  • Ask for referrals and introductions to expand our professional network.
  • Maintain and update a database of engaged referral sources.
  • Identify business development opportunities through discussions and referrals.
  • Track outreach efforts and provide regular reports on engagement and outcomes.

  • Proven ability to build and sustain relationships.
  • Proactive, organized, and comfortable with high-volume outreach.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote environment.
  • Prior experience in business development, sales, or client relations is a plus.
